What are you living for?

Thanks for posting. Very thought provoking. Makes me think of the difference between a job and a vocation. My job is how I pay the mortgage, buy groceries, fix the car, pay tuition, etc. My vocation is serving Christ. Ideally, these two things will frequently intersect. That is, I don't have to do religious work to fulfill my vocation. I can serve Christ where I am.

I'm not sure that I will ever be financially capable of retiring from a paying job. That may be a luxury of the past. However, if it ever does happen, it will free me to more fully express my vocation.
